I’ve never reviewed anything on Bethanie Rose, so bear with me. This could either be a clumsy catastrophe, or it could lead to a successful career as a professional skin care product reviewer. It’s a tough call, truly. Anyway, here we go!
Since I returned back to Manchester after Christmas, I have been suffering with washed out, dry, irritated skin. The city fumes, the biting winds, the Vitamin D deprived days spent in the office – I don’t know the exact reason, but my skin has been suffering and I desperately need a solution.
I recently read an article in Grazia Magazine about the benefits of zinc for your skin. So obviously I turned to Google to research this further. Duh. And from this research, I stumbled across La Roche-Posay Serozinc Spray – a zinc based toner for oily, blemish prone or problem skin. It is also great for combating other skin problems, like eczema, irritations and razor burns.
I was looking for a product to help me ditch this dull, lustreless look my skin has got going for it and this sounded perfect!
I’ll admit, I’ve never been a huge fan of toners in the past – they just seemed like an unnecessary step in my skin care regime that made my face feel sticky or restricted. However, the three ingredients of this spray work together to quickly tackle your problem without making you feel clogged up, uncomfortable or sticky.
La Roche-Posay claim that this product can be used as a toner between cleansing and moisturising, or as a refreshing spray at any time of the day. And I agree. I’ve only had this product for around 10 days, but already it has filled a zinc toner shaped space in my regime I didn’t even know was there.
After washing my face with my favourite Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish face wash, I spritz my face lightly with the spray and allow to dry. If I’m in a rush, I will gently pat dry, but it soaks into the skin relatively quickly anyway. Once absorbed, I use Organic Rosehip Oil (review coming soon… AMAZING!) and a Liz Earle Moisturiser.
After less than two weeks my skin feels and looks so much brighter. I have replaced a dull, dark complexion with bright, healthy skin. Immediately, my face felt fresher – as if I had been wearing a mask all this time and I’d finally taken it off to let me skin breathe.
Also, my cheeks are less red than usual. My cheeks and temples have always been a little pink/red/pain in the arse, but this spray is soothing these problem areas of my skin. I can confidently say, this zinc toner is a little gift from skin care heaven.
EVEN BETTER… I have been spraying this on my little patch of eczema and I’ve had no problems since! Is there anything it can’t fix?
So, there you have it – the ideal skin care solution for troublesome skin.
You can buy this online from a range of stores, I bought mine from Amazon.
