LUXURY SKIN CARE – SOLVING ACNE WITH TEMPLE SPA

As part of my ‘Fuck You Acne’ blog series, I’m looking at luxury skin care.

I’ve used Temple Spa products for over a year now. It’s a brand I can’t get enough of. All of their products are inspired by the Mediterranean, and use botanical actives that promote well-being and healthy skin. And they all smell dreamy (af)!

Recently, one of best friends became a rep – so she was able to take me through which of their products would work best for me.

Luxury Pamper Party

I was lucky enough to sneak into a Temple Spa party (run by my friend), which are so much fun!

It starts with identifying what type of skin you each have – normal, combination, dry, sensitive, mature, oily etc. And then Josephine runs through products perfect for you at each stage of your skin care regime.

This includes toners, cleansers, masks, moisturisers, and serums.

It really is a great idea of a girls night in, especially if you’re into skin care! At the end of it, you can order your favourite products. So I did just that…

Already armed with Be Still, Be Gone and Breakfast Smoothie, I invested in Be Calm, Be Strong  and Purification.

I admit it, I’m a skin care addict!

Here, I take a closer look at Be Calm and Purification, as these are two masks perfect for combatting spot prone skin.

Be Calm

I always have to list the ingredients of Temple Spa’s products, because they are just UGH! Incredible…

Be Calm is made up of Cucumber, Lavender, Vitamin E, Oats, Olive Oil, Vitamin A, Apricot Kernel Oil, Aubergine, Basil, Liquorice, Resurrection Plant.

I mean, you just know your skin is going to feel and look great.

It’s designed for sensitive complexions, with the aim of soothing and plumping stressed out skin. So whenever my face looks a little dehydrated, feels generally irritated, or is recovering from an angry breakout, I bring out Be Calm. As a mask, you can leave it on to do it’s magic for several minutes…

I get to work a couple of days from home, so I usually put this on first thing and take it off on my lunch break.

It soothes, settles, hydrates, and calms your skin, reducing inflamed or angry areas. And a little goes a long way, meaning it lasts a long, long time. Which means every penny (£27) is worth it!

Purification

Whilst Be Calm is great for dealing with the effects of breakouts, i.e. redness, marks, etc. Purification is perfect for combatting the production of spots – a vacuum cleaner for the skin.

Ingredients for this wonder include, Lemongrass, Kaolin, Lavender, Vitamin E, Myrtle, Tea Tree, Vitamin A, Bergamot, Eucalyptus Oil, Anise, Pomegranate, Rosemary, Sage, Lemonbalm, Planains, Date, Sugar Cane Extract.

Hallelujah.

It’s similar to a mud mask, perfect for blocked pores, congestion, and blackheads. It smells beautiful, it feels beautiful, it makes me feel beautiful… I love it!

You can use it across all the face, or just to target blemishes and impurities. Personally, I love it with Be Calm – combatting both redness and angry spots.

It’s rich in gorgeous minerals, and flushes out all the dirt and crappy build up you get day to day.

Again, a little goes a long way!

Final thoughts on luxury skin care

When you find a skin care range that works for you, cling onto it! Whether it’s £2 or £200, if it helps you combat and manage your problems, it shouldn’t matter.

I don’t think you should just try and invest in luxury products, because they have a brand and price tag suggesting they are great. You need to know they are going to work for you. Which is why the Temple Spa Pamper Party is such a great idea!

What are your favourite luxury skin care products?
